THE BIR/DMCI “HANDS-ON” TRAINING SERIES: HEAD AND NECK IMAGING

This “Hands-On” event in head and neck radiology is designed to familiarise and guide delegates through a range of head and neck disorders. Firstly, an  appreciation of common head and neck emergencies is covered to enable the delegates to be comfortable with potential on call cases. In the subsequent sessions the delegates will elarn how to report CT/MR imaging of the paranasal sinuses and temporal bones and then a focus on the basic concepts of head and neck oncology imaging.

Specific topics to be covered:
• Acute head and neck emergencies
• Temporal bone imaging
• CT sinus interpretation
• Head and neck oncology

In each session delegates will be asked to review between 10 and 15 cases
followed by an interpretation session with a head and neck radiologist. The
sessions are interactive enabling delegates to ask questions throughout the
course.
