Description
This webinar will discuss the mosaic attenuation pattern on CT, taking on board the key physical and anatomical principles. A scheme for evaluating the mosaic attenuation pattern will be presented so that participants feel confident in interpreting CT studies which demonstrate this sign. Some of the common (and sometimes, rarer) causes of a mosaic attenuation pattern will also be discussed.

Learning objectives
1) To know the definition of a CT mosaic attenuation pattern and appreciate the synonyms sometimes used to describe this pattern
2) To fully comprehend the anatomical and physical basis of a CT mosaic attenuation pattern
3) To feel comfortable in ‘deciphering’ a mosaic attenuation pattern and elucidating possible causes
4) To revise some of the common causes of a CT mosaic pattern and understand the pathophysiological mechanisms
