Letter from the ESTI President
Vienna, February 26, 2021

Dear ESTI Fellows, Members, Faculty Members and Congress participants,
Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As is apparent, the coronavirus pandemic is still having a huge impact on both our personal welfare and educational activities. We feel that it would be irresponsible to our ESTI community to proceed with the ESTI 2021 Oxford congress at this moment in time. In addition, with travel restrictions affecting attendance of both participants and faculty, we cannot guarantee the high scientific quality of our Annual Meeting, re-scheduled for September 2021.

It is with great regret and a very heavy heart that, after careful consideration, ESTI have decided to postpone the 2021 Annual Scientific Meeting as well as the 2021 Interactive Refresher Course in recognition of the ongoing health risks related to the coronavirus pandemic. We hope to be able to organise the ESTI Oxford congress in spring 2022.

However, we are happy to announce that again an online edition of the ESTI Winter Course will be organised in December 2021.
Save the date: December 09-10

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all colleagues involved in and those planning to attend the ESTI Oxford congress. We hope that we can count on your commitment in the future, thank you for your understanding in these difficult times, and we wish you all the best. Please stay healthy!

Yours sincerely,
Fergus Gleeson
ESTI 2020 President
