Main topics 2026

The ESTI 2026 scientific programme will spotlight the latest advances and innovations in thoracic imaging, reflecting the dynamic evolution of our field. This year’s focus is on cutting-edge developments in lung cancer screening, interstitial lung diseases (ILDs), bronchiectasis, pulmonary hypertension, and lung cancer diagnosis and staging and much more.

Key sessions will explore state-of-the-art imaging modalities including CT, MRI, and interventional radiology, with particular emphasis on how these technologies are reshaping early detection and patient management.

The meeting will also feature multidisciplinary sessions, interactive sessions, industry-sponsored symposia, and topic-specific workshops aimed at fostering collaboration between radiologists, clinicians, and industry partners.

A strong educational component will complement scientific sessions, offering opportunities for both seasoned professionals and early-career radiologists to deepen their expertise. Artificial intelligence will also be a key theme, with dedicated sessions exploring its growing role in image analysis, diagnosis, and research.
