Notifications of acceptance/rejection will be sent in March 2026.
ePoster Upload Deadline: Sunday, May 24, 2026.

General Information
We are happy to invite all interested persons to submit an abstract for the ESTI 2026 congress. Authors of the best abstracts will be invited to present their work during the Scientific Sessions in Salzburg. Abstracts that cannot be accepted for oral presentation may be invited to be presented as (online) ePoster. The presenter of an accepted abstract must be registered for the ESTI 2026 congress.

Accepted for Oral Presentation
Presenters of an oral talk should prepare the same in power point format (16:9). Please stick to the alloted speaking time mentioned in the programme overview. All presenters will be able to upload their talk(s) onsite in Salzburg in the Media Center. Please make sure to upload your presentation at least 2 hours prior the session start.

Accepted for ePoster Presentation
Presenters of an ePoster should upload their final ePoster PDF to the ePoster gallery. The link to the poster submission system will be published within March 2026. Kindly stick to the ePoster guidelines as indicated on the submission page.

Awards
In Salzburg, the following awards for the best oral presentations will be offered:
2x Certificate of Merit > free ESTI-ESCR 2027 Joint Meeting Zurich registration ticket
1x Cum Laude > 150,00 EUR + free ESTI-ESCR 2027 Joint Meeting Zurich registration ticket
1x Magna Cum Laude > 300,00 EUR + free ESTI-ESCR 2027 Joint Meeting Zurich registration ticket
Please note, that attendance at the award ceremony is mandatory. Presenters who are unable to attend the award ceremony are ineligible to receive an award.

Abstract Structure
Abstract content is limited to a maximum of 2750 characters (including spaces). Accepted abstracts may be published in an online syllabus on the ESTI website. Furthermore, ESTI may publish the abstracts in an ESR Journal under an open access license. More information regarding abstract guidelines will be published soon.

1. Oral Abstract
The abstract should be separated in “Purpose/Objectives”, “Methods and Materials”, “Results” and “Conclusion”. The body limit is 2750 characters. Authors of accepted oral presentations will be invited for a presentation within the ESTI Scientific Sessions. Presentation time will be up to 8 minutes (depending on the final programme). The presenter of an oral presentation has to be registered for the ESTI 2026 congress.
Accepted abstracts may be published in an online syllabus on the ESTI website. Furthermore, ESTI may publish the abstracts in an ESR Journal under an open access license.

2. KSTR Oral Abstract
The abstract should be separated in “Objectives”, “Methods and Materials”, “Results” and “Conclusion”. The body limit is 2750 characters. Authors of accepted KSTR abstracts will be invited for a presentation within the ESTI meets KSTR session. Presentation time will be up to 5 minutes (depending on the final programme). The presenter of an oral presentation has to be registered for the ESTI 2026 congress.
Accepted abstracts may be published in an online syllabus on the ESTI website. Furthermore, ESTI may publish the abstracts in an ESR Journal under an open access license.

3. Scientific Poster
The abstract should be separated in “Purpose”, “Methods and Materials”, “Results”, “Conclusion” and “References”. The body limit is 2750 characters. The presenter of the poster has to be registered for the ESTI 2026 congress.

4. Educational Poster
The abstract should be separated in “Learning Objectives”, “Background”, “Imaging findings OR Procedure details”, “Conclusion” and “References”. The body limit is 2750 characters. The presenter of the poster has to be registered for the ESTI 2026 congress.
Accepted abstracts may be published in an online syllabus on the ESTI website. Furthermore, ESTI may publish the abstracts in an ESR Journal under an open access license.
